Comments: I did this one
in a Spartan theme, with
the freehand on the shield
being historically accurate
and very difficult to keep
straight. I was not going to
enter this piece but finally
was convinced to do so by
my wife. Low and behold,
the figure took 2nd place in
the Single Figure Fantasy
competition, which
included upwards to 30 to
35 other entries.
