| April, 2004: Finally, I've completed a "Confrontation" figure. I love the sculpts that the Confrontation line offers and I felt this guy was a good first, stand-alone figure (for I've actually painted some of the skeletons from the line, but hey, those were skeletons). After finishing the figure, using a shaded metallics technique, I felt that it needed a good home and that's where the Hirst Arts background came in. What is he guarding? Why is he guarding it? I intended to put this piece up for auction but my wife fell in love with it and (as some fans of my work may know) once she likes a piece it gets tough to sell it. So, it is now gracing our shelves. |
