Manufacturer: Scratch-Built
Figure manufacturer: Reaper
Date: August, 2004
Comments: This was one of
those pieces that simply "speaks"
to you as your painting it.
Originally the preistess/sorceress
came with an undead minion, but
as I painted her I felt that I
wanted her by herself. I then
saw that I had a spare "pool" and
the scene just came together.
The addition of the skeletal hand
coming out of the water was my
wife's idea and I think it really
adds to the piece. Is she
summoning some long dead
warrior, or bringing forth some
long lost artifact? You decide. In
September, 2004 this piece won
third place at Denver's Tacticon.
The judges loved the concept and
story but there were some other
pieces in the competition that
were just slightly better (namely
my own Harbinger of Bast).
